Protect your property, ensure patrons stay on the designated path and elevate landscaping projects with Eagle ArmorKraft™ decorative post sleeves and molded rubber bases. These rubber bases allow you to add bollards where none exist on a level surface without the cost or permanence of installing concrete or steel bollards. This rubber base kit fits the ArmorKraft decorative bollard covers (1713BLK and 1715BLK) and is ideal for both semi-permanent and temporary setups.
When combined with Eagle decorative bollard post covers, these products can quickly improve property appearance and keep pedestrians and vehicles out of restricted areas. Made in the U.S., these long-lasting, all-weather base kits are resistant to the wear and tear of pedestrian traffic and the elements.
It’s easy to install decorative posts onto our rubber base, and our base kit comes with everything you need to install a bollard post cover. Once your rubber base is in the appropriate location, place 1713BLK or 1715BLK decorative bollard post sleeves over the rubber base and link the chains.
What are bollards?
Bollards are steel or concrete structures meant to protect buildings, structures or any assets like utility meters, electrical boxes, pipes or machinery from vehicle collisions. They are also used in outdoor spaces to mark pedestrian traffic patterns or bike paths, keep pedestrians out of dangerous areas and prevent cars from driving or parking too close to unauthorized areas. What are bollard covers?
Bollard post covers are colorful plastic sleeves that slide over bollards to improve their appearance, increase their life and save companies the time and money of annual painting and maintenance.
How should I space my bollards?
In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, bollards should be no closer than 3 feet apart so pedestrians in wheelchairs can move through the space. However, spacing between posts should not exceed 5 feet to ensure bollards provide protection against vehicles.
Can decorative bollard covers be used for temporary setups?
Yes, bollard post covers can be used for temporary setups when combined with a rubber base 1718BASE. However, covers alone do not meet ASTM crash standards.
Can I customize bollard sleeves?
Yes, Eagle offers color customization and embossing on orders of 500 bollard sleeves or more. Please contact us for more information or a quote.
