Spill Containment Platform for Drum Oil Spill Containment
Spill Containment Deck, or Spill Containment Platform, for Drum Oil Spill Containment
Spill containment decks help to contain leaks, drips, or ruptures from chemical storage drums. Our spill platforms are the most flexible and comprehensive option for spill protection, containment, and storage products on the market today.
Eagle's drum spill containment decks are constructed of high-density polyethylene (HDPE), which gives them chemical resistance, excellent durability, and UV protection. The platforms feature Eagle's patented removable black HDPE grating for easier cleaning. Many of our platforms feature forklift pockets, and most models available with and without a drain. Our modular platforms are easy to connect with a built-in U-channel.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a spill deck?
Spill decks and spill containment platforms are used when storing drums or containers of liquids or chemicals. They are typically constructed of durable plastic and include a sump to catch potential leaks and spills from the containers. Eagle spill containment platforms are modular, meaning they can be used alone as spill containment for smaller containers, or linked together to create larger spill containment systems with greater spill capacity.
How big does my secondary containment need to be?
The EPA's SPCC standards indicate that a proper secondary containment system must have the capacity to contain at least 10% of either the volume of all containers or the largest container, depending on which is bigger. But, state and local codes may place additional restrictions, so always speak with the Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) before making any final decisions.
Eagle spill platforms are modular, which allows users to create customized spill containment systems that meets their specific spill capacity needs. Built-in U-channels allow the decks to connect for many unique configurations. Spill containment platforms with drains and without drains are available.
