Eagle Manufacturing Company is pleased to announce the construction of a new warehouse and distribution center, located on four acres of recently purchased Brownfield land situated on Commerce and 22nd Streets in Wellsburg, W.Va.
“We are very excited for this opportunity to allow for further growth within our company,” said Joe Eddy, president and CEO.
The project is planned to be completed in three phases within the next three years. Phase I will be the construction of a 40,000 square-foot warehouse, 17 shipping bays and a 1,200 square-foot shipping office. Construction began in February with expected completion of Phase I scheduled for August of this year.
“The new warehouse and distribution center, located adjacent to the current 24th Street operations, was designed to expand and make the shipping department more convenient and efficient,” Eddy said.
Eagle products ship both domestically and worldwide. “This additional space will allow for continued growth,” he said.” Without additional room to expand, we’d really run out of answers for growth. Purchasing this property gave us an opportunity to design our growth for the next five years,” he continued.
“In addition to the physical growth, this type of expansion also for Eagle to sustain a current level of employment and will ultimately create new jobs. This is important to the economic development of the local area and to the state as it adds to the job base, tax base and gross state product.” he concluded.
